How to Get Started

How to Get Started with ABA Therapy

Embarking on your child's ABA therapy journey is a significant step toward their growth and development. At Endless Abilities ABA in Matawan, NJ, we have simplified the process to ensure a smooth and seamless start. Follow these three steps to get started:

  • Parent/Guardian will first complete an Intake packet online that will directly be submitted to Endless Abilities.
  • Endless Abilities will request approval from your insurance company to conduct the initial ABA assessment.
  • Upon approval from insurance, Endless Abilities will contact you to schedule your child’s initial ABA therapy assessment.

Step 1: Intake Process

The first step is the intake process, where we gather essential information about your child and their unique needs. Here's what you can expect during this phase:

  • Get To Know Us: Contact our team to express your interest in ABA therapy for your child. We will provide all the necessary information and address any questions or concerns.
  • Tell Us About You: We will ask you to provide some background information about your child's diagnosis, medical history, and any previous interventions or therapies they have received. This information helps us understand your child's specific needs better.
  • Schedule Your Evaluation: Once we have gathered the necessary information, we will schedule a consultation to discuss your child's needs and goals further. This consultation allows us to determine if ABA therapy is the right fit for your child.

Step 2: Insurance Approval for Initial Assessment

In the second step, we will guide you through obtaining insurance approval for the initial assessment. Here's what you need to know:

  • Who Pays For ABA Therapy: We work with various insurance providers to ensure families can access ABA therapy services. Our team will assist you in verifying your insurance coverage and explain your plan's details. Private pay options are also available.
  • We Are Here For You: If you encounter any challenges during the insurance approval process, rest assured that we will support and advocate for you and your child. Our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible.

Step 3: Conducting the Initial Assessment

Once insurance approval is obtained, we will proceed with the initial assessment, a crucial step in designing a personalized ABA therapy plan. Here's what you can expect during this assessment:

  • Evaluation: Our experienced team will thoroughly assess your child's strengths, challenges, and specific goals. This assessment helps us understand their unique needs and design a tailored treatment plan.
  • Observation: During the assessment, we will directly observe your child in various areas of development, including communication, social skills, behavior management, and daily living skills. This information guides our treatment planning and helps us measure progress.
  • Clinical Recommendation: After the assessment, we will discuss the findings, answer any questions you may have, and collaborate on setting appropriate goals for your child's ABA therapy journey.
