Frequently Asked Questions

At Endless Abilities, your child will have access to ABA services across a of variety settings, including but not limited to: 

• 1:1 in-home sessions 
• Daycare and educational school settings, which require facility approval
• Community-based settings where your child may have difficulty managing socially-appropriate behaviors. Sessions can take place at stores, parks, and social events

The initial assessment and staffing process varies depending on several factors. Endless Abilities strives to work as quickly as possible to start services for your child. This process can take anywhere from 3-6 months to begin ABA services.  

The direct observation of the initial ABA assessment will take place in your child’s home and it will typically take about 1 hour to complete. There is an indirect assessment, which the assessor will submit to insurance. The indirect assessment consists of the development of the treatment plan, the child’s treatment goals, and the clinically recommended treatment hours.  

• Insurance approves clinically recommended treatment hours for a 6-month authorization period. 
• Every 6-months, your child will be assessed to determine the need for continued services for the next 6 months. 
• This will vary based on your child’s individualized needs, which will be addressed in their treatment plan. There is set criteria to fade services as your child continues to meet their goals!

While waiting for insurance to approve weekly ABA services, Endless Abilities will begin working diligently on staffing your child’s ABA team. There will be one BCBA therapist and the Behavior Technician assigned to work with your child. 

• A BCBA is the clinician who develops and maintains the treatment goals for your child. 
• The BCBA will review all data collection of program goals continuously. This will assure that progress is occurring and that the interventions put into place are effective. 
• The BCBA trains the Behavior Technicians to assure that all interventions and programs are being implemented accurately and consistency. In-session direct supervision of the Behavior Technician typically occurs 1x per week. 
• The BCBA will also assist with parent training which encourages consistency of strategies outside of therapeutic sessions. 

• The Behavior Technician is the hands-on therapist who is implementing all of the programs and strategies under the BCBA’s direction and supervision. 
• The Behavior Technician will run all of the sessions on a weekly basis. 

Upon parent/guardian consent, Endless Abilities encourages open communication and collaboration with all providers who work with your child. This will optimize consistency across all treatment modalities. This includes but is not limited to private Speech, Occupational, and physical therapists, as well as medical professionals, and daycare/school staff. The BCBA also is permitted to attend school IEP meetings. 

NO! ABA therapy is not restricted to just Autism. ABA is a scientific approach that can help behavioral issues, regardless of whether they are related to Autism, ADHD, or other emotional/social causes. 

Unfortunately, insurance companies will only reimburse for ABA therapy if there is an Autism diagnosis in place.

For this reason, Endless Abilities ABA can treat children without an Autism diagnosis on a “private pay” basis.
